Last but not least, Verizon Wireless has joined the other major U.S. mobile phone carriers in taking preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Customers can now head to Verizon’s website to place an order for the upcoming Samsung device. The gadget can be purchased for $600 off contract or for $249.99 with a two-year contract.

Users who buy the device with a two-year contract can get a $50 mail-in rebate, dropping the final price of the phone to $199.99.

Additionally, customers who preorder and agree a two-year contract can get a second GS5 free if they activate another two-year contract. Customers can also choose a free HTC One (M8) or Samsung Ativ SE.

The G5 features a 5.1-inch full 1080p HD screen and comes with 16 gigabytes of storage. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat, comes with a 16-megapixel camera and uses a 2.5GHz quad-core processor.

The GS5 is available in black or white. Verizon said it would begin shipping preordered devices on April 11.

Verizon rivals AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have been taking preorders for the GS5 since mid-March and Best Buy has been letting customers try out the device at select stores around the country.
