Bishop Ernest E. In addition, HP offers comprehensive training in the fields of music and arts, free educational workshops to empower, coach and inform and awarding monetary scholarships to further the artist’s career. The HP Virginia Gospel Showcase and Expo have garnered national attention and was featured on The Word Network.

During the gospel showcase, choirs, soloists, ensembles, quartets, spoken word, holy hip hop artists and praise dancers will be able to display their talent in front of several judges. This year’s host is Dr. Bobby Jones of Bobby Jones Gospel. Our judges are: Lonnie Hunter of Radio One and Bro. Steve Harris, CEO of Bro. Steve Enterprises. Producers, promoters, radio announcers and record companies will be in the house as well.

There will be $1,000 cash prize awarded during the showcase plus a $3,000 multimedia marketing package, in addition to a spread in a national magazine.  The showcase is for individuals and groups who are not signed to a record label. On Saturday beginning at 10:00 am, there will be a series of seminars on a variety of topics to assist you in your musical endeavors.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. The benefits of sponsorship are abundant, particularly, our partnership with local and national media outlets which will allow you to benefit through extensive pre-event exposure.
