Bentley Prague opens in the heart of Czech capital

Crewe / Prague, 27 June 2012) Bentley strengthens its position in the Central European market by opening Bentley Prague, a new dealership located in the heart of the Czech capital.  The modern showroom and state-of-the-art service centre are key new facilities to contribute to Bentley’s market growth.

Bentley Motors saw a strong increase in deliveries across Europe in 2011 and also reported a significant rise in the first quarter of 2012.  In the Czech Republic, Bentley’s market share in the luxury segment reached a remarkable 23% in 2011. Responding to this growing demand, Bentley is enhancing its representation in this dynamic country in the heart of Europe with the opening of Bentley Prague.

Bentley Prague is located in the central Smichov quarter – a business district just 4 km from downtown Prague – on one of the major east-west links, allowing it to be easily accessed by customers. The 250 square metre dealership offers a suitably exclusive Bentley experience with highly professional sales staff as well as after-sales service and workshop facilities.

At the grand opening of these new premises, held today, the all-new Bentley Continental GT and GTC V8 models also celebrate their debut in the Czech market. The advanced 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine in both models combines impressive power with class-leading efficiency.

2. Bentley’s global sales for Q1 in 2012 increased by 46.6% with 1,759 cars delivered to customers. This growth was led by the emergence of China as Bentley’s largest market in the first quarter with sales in the region up 84.9% (578 cars delivered). The Americas remain a key market for Bentley with sales up by 35.6% (468 cars delivered). In the Middle East sales recovered with an increase of 82.6% (168 cars delivered) and European sales also saw a 34.4% increase with 207 deliveries. Sales in the UK and Germany remain stable, with 233 cars and 62 cars delivered respectively.

3. Bentley has teamed up with Porsche Inter Auto CZ to establish the new dealership . The new partner is a subsidiary of the Salzburg-based Porsche Inter Auto (PIA).
