Featuring Andy Narell

Oakland University, Varner Recital Hall, Rochester – 8pm

Greetings!,

Our annual winter semester World Music Concert is coming up this Friday at Oakland University and do we have a treat for you! Our concert this semester will feature international renowned steel drummer Andy Narell. Andy will be playing with the Pan-Jumbies and Pan-Jazz on the second half of the program in a performance of his original compositions. We will also be joined by the OU Big Band for a rare combination of Jazz Band and Steel Band. The first half of our concert will feature Akwaaba performing music from northern Ghana and Ngoma performing an original composition for dance. Details are below.
This is a must see performance. I am very proud of my students work and thrilled to be hosting Andy Narell at Oakland University. :-)
