Clayton E. Corley, Sr. aka Bigtrigger, and Donna Kirven, aka Celestial Dancer, is the partnership behind Spotlight on Jazz and Poetry (SOJP).

Spotlight on Jazz and Poetry is an internet program that features the music and poetry of established, as well as new jazz artists and poets from around the world.

Once a year SOJP produces a live event whose goal is to provide an evening of world class jazz, wonderful poetry, good food and wine tasting among fellow jazz and poetry enthusiasts at a venue reminiscent of cabarets from days gone by. This year, SOJP is proud to present its 5th live event, “Jazzmatic Journey”, on Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Philadelphia PA.

They are currently holding an online fundraiser for the campaign. As a contributor to this campaign you will help us continue to keep these two art forms, jazz and poetry, alive and at the forefront of our consciousness, by providing a venue to showcase these rich artistic genres..

On this “Jazzmatic Journey” campaign our goal is to raise $10,000.

All pledges will go towards; venue rental, artists fees and housing, sound system/equipment rental, marketing materials, advertisements and instrument (drums & piano) rentals.

All contributions will be an integral part of the program, whether it is a little, or a lot contributed.  Keeping the history and continual emergence of jazz and poetry (the arts) alive is very important to the educational and social growth of our communities as an integral part of the program
