Rihanna was forced to cancel her live show in Malmo last night (October 31) after she was rushed to hospital.
The singer, who is currently in the middle of an extensive European tour, which includes 10 dates at London’s O2 Arena, was forced to shelve the gig after being diagnosed with a flu virus.
Rihanna apologised to fans in a statement which reads: “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time and so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there”.
The singer also tweeted a picture of her arm hooked up to an IV machine via her official Twitter account Twitter.com/Rihanna along with the message: “Sorry Malmo.” It is not known as yet whether she will be well enough to play her scheduled gig in Stockholm tonight (November 1).
Rihanna releases her new album ‘Talk That Talk’, which is her sixth, on November 21. It features new single ‘We Found Love’, which shot straight to Number One last month.
