Christian rap artist “Goon 2 Saint” (G2S).

God can reach places that man only a dream of. This includes, but is in no way limited to, the heart of an inner city and the roughest of streets within that city.  One of the most beautiful things about our Father’s grace and mercy is that he does not judge us or operate in a cycle of continuous punishment when we are disobedient. In other words, our heavenly father is not “the Boogie-Man”; he is all forgiving and wants nothing from us but our time.

-Noted lyricist, “Rapper for God.”

“Many are called, but few are chosen,” An age old, but simply true famous quote (Author unknown at this time)

Tyrone Richardson a.k.a. “G2S” (Goon 2 Saint), is definitely one of God’s chosen vessels. G2S was born July 18, 1983 in Harlem, New York but spent most of his childhood between Richmond, VA and Bronx, NY. He is the oldest of three children; he has one brother and one sister. He attended the Chesterfield County Public School system.

G2S began to get into trouble at an early age which led to him selling drugs while in the 7th grade and even joining a gang. G2S had been arrested numerous times for things such as gun possession, assault and disorderly conduct. While incarcerated, he was introduced to the “Word of God.” He began studying the Bible and attending church and even gave his life over to God while incarcerated.

Upon being released, from prison he was led to attend the New Deliverance Tabernacle, under the leadership of Pastor Vincent L. Mendenhall, where he has been a faithful member for the last three years. Within those three years his strong faith, values and the sheer willingness to change took his life in a different, positive direction.  He learned how to express the word of God through Christian rap and has performed at the Trinity New Life Center, Second Baptist Church’s Annual Block Party and the Star of Faith Church.

He currently has a praise mix tape out and was working on the 2nd one at press time.

G2S stands on the word and lives by Isaiah 54:17, which reads,

No weapon formed against me shall prosper: and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me, saint the Lord.
