For the fifteenth consecutive time, Babson College’s Undergraduate School has been ranked #1 in entrepreneurship by U.S. News World & Report. That’s not all; the school has also earned a top spot for their business program, coming in at #28 as a “Best in Undergraduate Business.” Babson leads the top five schools, followed by Indiana University, the University of Southern California, University of Pennsylvania and MIT.
“Babson’s presence on this list, dominated almost entirely by large national universities, is further evidence of our leadership position in business education,” said President Len Schlesinger in a press release. “Along with our current #20 ranking in Bloomberg Businessweek, the U.S. News & World Report rankings clearly show that people know about the great things happening here at Babson.”
U.S. News World & Report considered 27 schools, and chose to place Babson College on the top of the list. Taken into consideration were seven factors: tuition, full-time enrollment, the average GMAT score, the average undergraduate GPA, the school’s acceptance rate, the average starting salary and bonus, and the amount of full-time graduates employed at graduation. Business school deans, program directors and guidance counselors also provided feedback, helping push Babson to the top of the list.
“Going forward, we will extend these accomplishments, building on our already strong undergraduate program and expanding our work in Entrepreneurial Thought and Action and Entrepreneurship of All Kinds to help prepare the next generation of leaders who create great economic and social value everywhere,” Schlesinger said. “It’s another great way to start the academic year.”
